Confidentiality and professional ethics
The firm observes the duties of confidentiality and professional secrecy under Article 28 of the Italian Code of Conduct for Lawyers. In communications to the public, Article 35(8) prohibits lawyers from identifying their Clients or the parties they assist, even with their consent.
This principle has been confirmed, among other decisions, by the Italian Supreme Court, Joint Civil Divisions, in judgment no. 9861 of 19 April 2017, and by the Italian National Bar Council in decision no. 294 of 5 July 2024.

Initial contact and confidentiality
Initial contact allows a confidential meeting to be arranged and preliminary checks to be made before accepting an engagement. Sending an enquiry does not in itself mean that a professional engagement has been accepted. Arrangements for sharing confidential documents are agreed with the firm.
